New for the 2023 Season and beyond. We now have a Pizza Oven available for campers at the pavilion. It’s a great addition to our awesome facility. Camper Family and friends are now able to have a pizza events at their leisure.
PIZZA OVEN RULES
1- If you use it, you clean it. Please help us keep the oven and area clean after each use.
2- ABSOLUTELY NO USE OF LIQUID OR CHEMICAL FIRE STARTERS!
3- Wear heat resistant gloves.
4- Its up to you to Supply wood for the fire.
5- All food and prep is users responsibility.
6- Sharing is caring, please remember this oven is for every ones use.
7-No one under the age of 18 is allowed to use the oven.
USE RECOMMENDATIONS
Start your fire early. The oven takes a long time to reach operating temperature. We recommend starting the fire 2-3 hours prior to cooking. Start the fire just inside the door. Use small kindling and add several larger pieces of firewood. Once the large pieces have burned down to red coals push them back and around in the oven. There is a coal rake and brush provided, if you break it you replace it.
Pizza – For best results use corn meal as a non-stick agent on your pizza paddle and a little on the oven floor to ease the placing and removing of your pizza.
